Cookie Policy — SimplyForms

The Czech version is the controlling version. This Cookie Policy (the "Cookie Policy") supplements the Privacy Policy and explains what cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) the SimplyForms Service uses.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser in order to remember information between visits or between individual requests during a single visit.
localStorage and sessionStorage are similar browser data-storage technologies (the Web Storage API) that can be used for the same purposes.
In this policy we use the term "cookies" collectively for all of these technologies.
3. Legal framework
The use of cookies in the Czech Republic is governed by Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on Electronic Communications (the ECA), implementing Art. 5(3) of ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC:
- Strictly necessary cookies are not subject to user consent.
- All other cookies (analytics, marketing, profiling) require the user's active, informed consent BEFORE they are stored or read.
Our cookie banner complies with the judgment of the CJEU in C-673/17 Planet49 (1 October 2019) — no pre-ticked options, no "by continuing you consent". See §4.1 for what the banner currently affects.
4. What cookies we use
4.1 Marketing site (simplyforms.app)
We use no analytics and no third-party trackers. The site stores only strictly necessary items:

We do display a cookie banner on the marketing site. None of the items above is subject to consent — the banner is in place in case we introduce analytics or marketing trackers in future. Today the "Analytics" and "Marketing" choices switch no script on or off, because we load no such script.
If we do introduce analytics or marketing trackers in future, we will ask for your consent again — specifically for the tools we will use, and always BEFORE their scripts are loaded. We will not rely on a choice recorded before they were introduced. We will also publish an update to this policy.
4.2 Dashboard (dash.simplyforms.app)
We use only strictly necessary items:

These items are not subject to consent under Section 89(3) of the ECA — the "strictly necessary" exemption in ePrivacy Art. 5(3): without them the Service could not function (login, persistence of preferences).
5. Third-party cookies
We currently use no third-party cookies, either on the marketing site or in the dashboard.
Paddle — when a paid plan is activated in the dashboard, the Paddle checkout is loaded (a script from cdn.paddle.com, with the form itself framed from buy.paddle.com). In doing so Paddle may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and to run the payment. That is a separate processing operation controlled by Paddle as controller; those cookies are necessary to carry out the payment that the Customer itself requested. Paddle is not loaded on the marketing site at all. See the Paddle Privacy Policy.
6. How to manage cookies
6.1 In your browser
Most browsers allow you to:
- view and delete stored cookies and localStorage,
- set rules for automatic deletion at the end of a session,
- block cookies from a specific domain.
Guides (links may change over time):
Deleting strictly necessary cookies will log you out of the dashboard and force you to log in again; on the marketing site it brings the cookie banner back and the language is detected again from your browser settings.
6.2 In SimplyForms
You can change your choice in the cookie banner at any time using the "Cookie settings" option in the page footer — the banner opens again showing your current choice. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.gov.cz).
8. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be notified to registered customers by email at least 30 days in advance and published on this page with the effective date stated.
